Information Systems @ ANU

The National Centre for Information Systems Research (NCISR) Group at the Australian National University in Canberra has, as a primary aim, the conduct of research relevant to industry and business in information systems and electronic commerce. The group achieves this aim through close links with business organizations, industry associations, government bodies, and consulting groups. Applied research projects and consultancies are undertaken.

Canberra is Australia’s capital and the centre of government. Thus, the group can work closely with government organizations with an interest in information systems and e-commerce. The group can draw on staff with expertise in all areas of business from its base in the College of Business and Economics. Staff are active in research collaboration with other academic institutions, industry and government. In particular, the College has strong associations with government agencies such as the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Department of Finance & Administration, Treasury and Department of Defence. The College is recognized as a leader in the areas of economic policy analysis, accounting and finance, applied statistics and econometric modelling.
